Whakatāne District Council, bay of plenty

The Whakatane District Council aimed to create a modern and flexible work environment in their new building, focusing on a nature-inspired theme. The office fit-out involved a harmonious blend of sophisticated and nature-inspired colours, with hot desking strategically implemented to promote versatility and collaboration. The design carefully considered both collaborative and quiet spaces, fostering teamwork in vibrant hubs and providing tranquil areas for focused tasks. Black elements added timeless elegance, while Autumn Oak finishes brought warmth and a connection to nature. The use of greens, blues, and yellows reflected the vibrant surroundings.

The furniture selection included Eiffel Meeting/Boardroom tables, Gravitate Flip Tables for flexible work setups, Enhance Desks for a modern and collaborative culture, Luca Leaners for shared spaces, and Memo Tables for relaxation and creativity. Ava and Hug chairs enhanced common areas with comfort and flair. Custom Council Chamber tables were crafted to meet specific technological needs for advanced meetings. The overall goal was to transform the workspace into a functional and inspiring environment tailored to the Whakatane District Council's unique requirements.
