Over this time the business has achieved significant growth and change from its humble beginnings as a Tauranga-based startup back in 2007.
This significant anniversary comes off the back of the organisation’s notable success at the 2016 Westpac Business Awards, where they took out the Cooney Lees Morgan Manufacturing and/or Logistics Award and the Ballance Agri-Nutrients Business Innovation Award, as well as being finalists for Tauranga Business of the Year.
Adam says the Modern Office team has grown rapidly over the past few years, from four staff in 2009, to an 18-strong team now. “While we have established a strong presence in the Bay of Plenty and have our head office based here, two years ago we set up a showroom in Hamilton’s city centre. Capitalising on the growth being experienced in Auckland, we recently opened a third showroom there where two of our business development managers are based,” he says.
Adam and David believe good office design does not just cater for the way our bodies work, but also for the way our minds work. David says “Workplace trends are changing with the rise of ‘activity based working’, where the traditional office setup is being replaced by a collaborative environment to encourage interaction and creative thinking.”
With expertise in activity based working, Modern Office supports the efforts of organisations to ensure the sustainability of their most important asset - their people. They create modern, well-designed workplaces that engender pride, improve productivity and increase staff satisfaction and wellbeing, leading to enhanced organisational performance.
