The brief for this project for Morrison Kent was provided by architects Novak Middleton, which was a floor plan and visual renders of the look and feel they were after.
The concept design provided a space that was light, warm, simple with a scandi-zen feel that consisted of two strong visual elements – blond timber and the use of white. One of the key criteria provided by the architects was for finishes such as timber to match or blend as seamlessly as possible. A briefing meeting was also held with the architects to better understand the vision and functional requirements such as fixed or height adjustable desking, technology integrations and functional aspects of what spaces were to be used for and how.
The Modern Office team presented a schedule of options for each space that met these requirements. To achieve both the simple and seamless look, the solution used New Zealand made timber furniture in matching finishes and specific sizing to work within the spaces. Custom upholstered items with perfectly matching fabrics completed the look.
