Harcourts Advantage Realty Ltd's business owners Max and sons Simon and Nigel Martin knew they did not want to build another "square box" in Tauranga. But they did want to create a unique landmark and ultimate Harcourts hub, complete with purpose-built auction room, at their prominent 950 square metre site on Third Avenue.
The spacious reception area features a 'Hi & Lo' coffee table and leather visitor chairs, from Turkish supplier Nurus, alongside a customised reception unit. Auction room furniture consists of pre-existing seating with the addition of customised Melteca bar leaners and 'Eon' bar stools, which were also used in the Harcourts staffroom helping to create a modern yet relaxed shared social environment.
Adjoining auction meeting rooms feature customised wineglass cafe tables paired with sleek sled based leather visitor chairs. Modern Office's 'Elevate' height adjustable electric desks were used in managerial offices and the 'Silva' desking system used throughout the main open plan office area, complete with matching tambour and steel mobile under-desk storage.
